Vermont is a leader in protecting the environment, a top producer of U.S. Olympic skiers and riders, and a state consistently rated one of the safest in the nation.  
Here are some facts & figures:

  • Vermont has 23 educational institutions
  • Campus populations range from 100 to 10,000 
  • 42,000 students from across the country and the globe study in Vermont
  • Educational settings vary from four-year liberal arts to two-year career-oriented colleges
  • We have a history of higher education with 2 of our 23 colleges founded in the 1700’s
  • 37% of our students are from Vermont, 32% are from other New England states, and 31% are from other states across the country and around the globe internationally

You should also know that Vermont has a medical school, a law school, international and language education, environmental education, the oldest private military college in the United States and a nationally recognized culinary arts institute.
