"All professors. teach introductory classes. A UVM student
doesn't feel like a number, but we're a university large
enough to allow investigation and exploration." —Denise
Youngblood, Associate Professor of History |
The
University of Vermont—or UVM, as we are known from
our Latin name, Universitas Viridis Montis—offers
you the beauty and serenity of a Vermont location and the
extensive academic resources of a comprehensive university.
More than 2,200 undergraduate courses are offered in fields
ranging from the liberal arts to professional and pre-professional
training. In all, over 90 majors and programs are represented
at UVM. Perhaps most important to your education, ninety-six
percent of our classes are taught by full-time professors,
all accomplished scholars and, in many cases, pioneers in
their fields.
