Academic Programs

The career-oriented degree programs at Southern Vermont College focus on a strong liberal arts curriculum as the foundation. Our faculty challenge students to think independently and creatively. Students are encouraged to design their course of study with complementing minors taking advantage of the College's broad offerings. So it's not unusual to see students majoring in Psychology who have a minor in Visual Arts, Print Journalism, or Information Technology. Our faculty represent the best in their field and are often quoted in regional and national publications about current trends and popular events. With an average class size of 17, our faculty ensure that students receive the attention needed to achieve their personal best.
