Saint Michael's College
Saint Michael’s College strikes the perfect balance between the bustle of a busy college town and the splendor and challenge of Vermont’s natural wilderness. Three miles from Lake Champlain and Burlington,
Vermont’s largest city and the epitome of a great
college town, Saint Michael’s is conveniently located
in Students flock to the thriving downtown for shopping, a vibrant music scene, theater and fine arts presentations, and, of course, Ben & Jerry’s ice cream – a Vermont tradition. The area combines a culturally rich, yet livable and safe small city, with the recreational benefits of Vermont’s lakes and mountains. Situated on the shores of Lake Champlain, Burlington has a natural beauty that attracts many. The Adirondacks to the west and the Green Mountains to the east serve as constant reminders of the great skiing, riding and hiking available nearby. Saint Michael’s students take full advantage of the many recreational and social opportunities provided in this region, bringing some of their own great talents to the local slopes (as witnessed in Saint Michael’s alumna Tricia Byrnes’ 2002 Olympic snowboarding performance). All students in good academic standing receive an all-access pass to Smugglers' Notch ski resort, an agreement thought to be the only one of its kind in the nation. The Burlington area is served by train, air, and bus transportation on a daily basis. The Burlington International Airport, served by several major airlines, is just three miles from campus. |
