Saint Michael's College
As a residential campus, Saint Michael’s has an extensive network of student housing that includes traditional residence halls, townhouses (apartments), theme-housing and suite-style living/learning facilities. Our newest residence halls, Cashman, Pontigny and Canterbury Halls, consist of four- and eight-person suites, each featuring single bedrooms, a common living room and kitchenette and semi-private bathrooms, in a building outfitted with full communal kitchens on each floor, activity/study rooms on each floor, a multi-media classroom, and a large, comfortably furnished Great Room with a fireplace which can accommodate all building residents for planned activities, or just for lounging. The Durick Library holds 227,000 volumes and thousands of periodicals, primary source materials, and other media. Many classrooms and common spaces have wireless access. Students who do not bring their own computer to campus can take advantage of our ten computer labs in various locations around campus, some equipped with digital video tools, multimedia software, and other technology. Our Ross/Tarrant athletic center features a 2,500-seat basketball/volleyball court, indoor swimming pool, courts for tennis, squash and racquetball, a climbing wall, fitness and weight rooms, a dance/aerobics studio and a field house with an indoor running track. |
