Sterling College
Sterling College Accreditation: New England Association of Schools and Colleges Campus: 130 acres and 14 buildings—among them newly renovated residential, administrative, and classroom facilities, a Writing Center, a Sustainability Office, a wood shop, a dark room, an indoor bouldering wall, and an environmental science computer lab. Additional teaching facilities include a woodlot, a challenge course with a 30’ climbing wall, a 300-acre boreal research forest, and the Sterling College farm. Students have access at all times to computer stations found in several buildings. The Sterling College Farm consists of solar and wind-powered barns, fruit trees, pasturelands, certified organic gardens, greenhouses, and a diversity of livestock–chickens, ducks, goats, pigs, sheep, steers, and draft horses.
