Johnson State College

"Some people come here wanting to change the world. Others come not knowing what they want. Every student brings a different dream. All are welcomed and encouraged to do the things they think are impossible."

Home in the Mountains
We call it education by engagement, getting involved with the real world, and putting our ideals-and ideas-into practice. JSC students are actively engaged off-campus as well as on, in academic as well as extracurricular or volunteer activities. This is the principle underlying all of life as JSC, and particularly the many rich academic choices. Many colleges have much in common: a wide range of academic disciplines, excellent faculty, interesting students, diverse social and athletic opportunities. However, what will likely distinguish the college that feels like "home" is the feeling one gets as you walk the campus, meet staff and faculty, and chat with some of the students.
