Green Mountain College
Green Mountain College is looking for students who are ready to succeed, ready for new challenges, and who want to contribute to our community. Students are admitted to Green Mountain College on a rolling basis. When applying to Green Mountain College you are required to send your transcripts, a personal statement, at least one letter of recommendation, and either the standardized test scores or an “Insight Portfolio”. Green Mountain College has recently adopted a Test Optional Policy, the submission of standardized tests (SAT I and ACT) is no longer required as a part of the admissions process at Green Mountain College. Students may choose to submit standardized test scores or they may choose to instead submit the "Insight Portfolio," consisting of three short essay responses (100 words each) and a recent, graded writing sample. Equal consideration and weight is given to both standardized test scores and to the Insight Portfolio. In addition, applicants are encouraged to submit supplemental materials including additional Letters of Recommendation; additional Essays; Resume of Community Service experience, Work experience, and/or Leadership experience; and a Visual or Performing Arts Portfolio. Admission is not solely based on academic performance or test scores - our decision will be based on the complete application. *Some exceptions apply to test optional policy, please review the section on our website, http://admissions.greenmtn.edu/admissions/test_optional.asp Admissions Office |
