Castleton State College
Eighty-one percent of Castleton's full-time undergraduate students receive financial assistance from federal, state, college, or other sources. Grants, loans, and work-study jobs are available for qualified students. Applicants for financial aid should file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid Form by March 15 of the senior year in high school. All financial aid awards are based on need. Most Castleton scholarships are awarded
as part of the Castleton Honors Program. Scholarships
range from $1,000 to $5,000 per year. To be eligible to
apply, high school students must be in the top 20%
of their class, have earned a combined score of at least 1100
on the critical reading and math portions of the new SAT
(24 ACT) and have earned a 3.3 GPA during their high school career.
There are also scholarships for students enrolling in the Music or Spanish degree programs. The Next Generation and Citizenship Scholarships of up to $2,500 per year are awarded to students who have earned at least a 3.0 GPA, a combined score of at least 1000 on the critical reading and math portions of the SAT's, and who are dedicated to school and community involvement as well as other achievements. |
