Champlain College

“Upside-down” Curriculum

Students are accepted into a major and begin concentrating on courses within that area in their first two years of college. This "upside-down" format includes required humanities, science, math and social science courses distributed throughout the four years of study. Each major emphasizes the College's core competencies of critical and creative thinking, ethical reasoning, global studies, oral communication, quantitative literacy, technology competency and written communication.
