Consortium of Vermont Colleges 29th Annual Counselor Bus Tour Sunday, April 20 to Friday, April 25, 2008

Tour participation is available on a FIRST-COME, FIRST-SERVED basis. As there are only 35 spaces available, we would advise you to register as soon as possible. *OPEN REGISTRATION for the 2008 tour will begin October 15, 2007. Registrations will not be accepted without a deposit. Join us in Vermont for the “Granddaddy” of Bus Tours as we explore seventeen colleges in six days. As we traverse the state you will have the opportunity to see the different personalities of Vermont. We’ll travel from bucolic rural areas to the golden domed state house in the capital city to the distinctive pedestrian walkway of Church Street Marketplace in Vermont’s most populous city. The seventeen institutions you will visit are as diverse as the landscape—they offer virtually every option for higher education.

You will spend time on each campus meeting faculty, staff, and students, and learning about each school’s unique programs and attributes. Each day is brimming with college tours, tasty meals, and hospitality as you travel across Vermont via a Vermont Transit Charter with 34 other counselors and your four hosts from participating institutions.

The Consortium of Vermont Colleges provides housing, meals, and most transportation. You are responsible for the cost of your own transportation to and from Burlington , VT , where the tour will begin and end.

Participants of the tour over the past two decades believe this is one of the greatest opportunities to see a variety of schools, to experience the beauty of Vermont , and gain positive professional development. It is sure to be a fun and worthwhile week. The entire committee is working hard to ensure that the 28th Annual Bus Tour in April 2007 is both a personal and professional success for all.
